Job title: Young Adult Ministry Lead
Purpose of role: Engaging with Young People is a core mission priority for the Diocese. Not only are Young People the future of the Church, but they also add energy and creativity to it today. Committed young Catholics inspire everyone.
We are therefore seeking an accomplished leader of Catholic Mission to develop, equip and oversee our burgeoning ministry for Young Adults (18-35) in the Diocese of Nottingham. The aim is to cultivate and support Missionary Disciples who are passionate and faith filled leaders, intentionally active in their Parishes and parish communities, and great witnesses in society.
Based at: Diocesan Curial Office (Central Nottingham), with regular travel around the Diocese, and occasionally elsewhere in the UK. The opportunity for some home working may be possible if fulfilment of objectives allows.
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week. Must be open to flexible working, with some evening and weekend work.
Salary: £25,000-£28,000 p.a. depending upon qualifications and experience. Initially a 2 year fixed term contract, with potential to become permanent.
Line Manager: Director of Adult Formation for Mission (DAFM)
Key Internal Contacts: Director of Adult Formation for Mission, Vocations Directors, Curial Team, Clergy, Young Adults Volunteers, Parish volunteers. There are no subordinate staff.
Key External Contacts: Lecturers, speakers, training course leaders, venues, caterers, pilgrimage site staff/volunteers, groups aimed at Young Adults in the Church.
