We are Caritas – Tend a wounded world with love

Nottingham Diocese is joining the worldwide Caritas network. Soon we’ll be part of one of the biggest humanitarian organisations in the world. Find out about plans for Caritas in Nottingham.

Our prospectus lays out six ‘ministries’ which we can help you develop in your parish:

  • Building communities of missionary disciples
  • Environment and global responsibility
  • Poverty and dignity
  • Modern slavery and human trafficking
  • Refugees and asylum seekers
  • Tackling social isolation.

Want to find out more? Join an interactive webinar at 2.00 p.m. on 18 May where you can meet fellow Catholics who are keen to put faith into action. It will take place on Zoom, but you can also join with a simple landline telephone.

Just before lockdown was announced, we took the decision to postpone the Faith into Action day on 28 March at Nottingham Cathedral Hall. We hope it will now take place on Saturday 7 November. If you couldn’t make it in March March, you can book now for November. Sadly we know that even after Covid-19 is eradicated, greater hardship is likely. Join us to take stock and help the Church rise to a challenging future.
