Pentecost Sunday National Rosary Rally

Published 18th of May 2020

When: Pentecost Sunday, May the 31st, from 9.00 to 21.00

Where: wherever we may be in England, Wales and Scotland

The Holy Father Francis has encouraged Catholics to pray the Rosary in their family homes during the month of May, especially at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic is making us more aware of the value of our families and making it possible for us to pray together in lockdown at home.

The Holy Father encourages simple Rosaries and also the joining up to online Rosary initiatives, with the intention of praying to Our Lady for her intercession in our deliverance from the virus. The Holy Father has composed two prayers for this intention, that are to be appended to the end of the rosary.

Let us then join in the initiative that follows on from the Pope's request, the Pentecost Sunday National Rosary Rally, which takes place across our countries from 9.00 to 21.00. This will have the effect of the Rosary rolling out over the land, for each diocese has been allotted a time slot.

The Diocese of Nottingham will be saying the Rosary
from 10.00 in the morning on Pentecost Sunday,
alongside the Archdiocese of Birmingham
and the Ukrainian Eparchy of the Holy Family.

Please feel free to join in with your families and friends.
