The Summit Deanery Retreat Days

On Saturday the 18th of October the Diocesan Youth Service is hosting a retreat day at St Mary’s, Brigg for young people aged 11-18 from the North Lincolnshire Deanery. This retreat day is being offered in direct response to clergy and families, who during consultation about the development of the Diocesan Youth Service, called for more local opportunities for young people in parishes. Opportunities to come together in community to grow in, and be formed in, our Catholic faith. We are delighted to be offering a series of retreat days, one in each of the 8 deaneries of the diocese in direct response to this feedback.

Ordinary lives, extraordinary faith

This free retreat day, led by the Briars team, is inspired by the lives of the newly canonised Saints Carlo Acutis and Pier Georgio Frassati who offer us examples of faith and a life fully lived. Young people attending the retreat day will have the opportunity to explore the lives of Saints Carlo and Pier Georgio through a series of games, inputs and interactive workshops. The day will culminate in the celebration of Mass with the parish community with music ministry led  by the Briars team.
