Running for the Lourdes Health Team!

Dee Ellidge, a parishioner of St Hugh's, Lincoln, recently ran the Lincoln 10k in order to support her fellow Lourdes Health Team who volunteer their time and training in aid of the Diocesan Pilgrimage every summer. Dee shares her experience:

"Since the end of October I have been pulling on my trainers to run 10km a week in preparation for participating in the Lincoln 10k which I completed on April 14th, to raise funds, to support the health team travelling with the Lourdes pilgrimage. Overall I  completed 270km and said many decades of the rosary on route.

The health team provide advice and support to all pilgrims, but for our assisted pilgrims this presence means that they are able to participate in a spiritual experience which would be inaccessible without the care provided by the health team.

If you would like information about how the health team can support you, you are welcome to contact me at ellidgedee@gmail.com or Fr Simon Gillespie, Deputy Pilgrimage Director at simon.gillespie@dioceseofnottingham.uk. More information is available - as well as a booking link - at dioceseofnottingham.uk/events/lourdes

Your sponsorship will enable the health team to travel and provide care and support for the pilgrims. Anything you can contribute towards helping me achieve my target will be massively appreciated."
