A new lay initiative for Catholics in Lincolnshire launches at St Mary’s, Louth on Friday 30 October. Mass at 6pm, talk at 7pm. Led by Fr Dominic O’Connor and Fr Kevin Athaide.
Something new is beginning in Lincolnshire.
Thy Will Be Done is a new initiative for Catholics who want to go deeper in the faith, exploring the formation of a lay confraternity, answering the call to holiness in everyday life, and supporting the re-evangelisation of Lincolnshire.
The evening is built around three pillars: Our Lady of Walsingham, the Mass, and the Pilgrimage of Grace. Mass will be led by Fr Dominic O’Connor at 6:00pm, followed by a talk from Fr Kevin Athaide at 7:00pm.
If you cannot attend on the day, information packs are available. Email ccswc@dioceseofnottingham.uk to request one or to register your interest.
What is a lay confraternity?
A confraternity is a group of laypeople, not priests or religious, who come together around a shared spiritual purpose. This initiative invites Catholics in Lincolnshire to form that kind of community: rooted in prayer, anchored in the Mass, and oriented towards sharing the faith in daily life.
What are the three pillars?
Our Lady of Walsingham, the Mass, and the Pilgrimage of Grace, three expressions of Catholic devotion with deep roots in this part of England. The evening unpacks what each pillar means and how they can shape a life of faith today.
What if I can’t come on the night?
